- We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers based in the Sydney timezone. You'll be part of our growing Editor team, continuing our mission of providing the fastest, most reliable, predictable, and expressive way for teams to create, understand, and act on content. Anywhere, on any device. You'll also use your analytical skills to make sure we're solving the right problems, and work closely with design and product management to influence the direction of the product and plan the steps to get there.

You'll be responsible for building an effective team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you - mentoring and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.

Editor Maker team is focusing on enabling internal (and eventually external) teams to deliver value via the Editor canvas, autonomously. Our mission is to serve new and existing consumers by making sure our Editor is easy and safe to adopt, customise, extend and contribute to. Doing so turns the Editor into a true cross-product platform multiplier. This role requires participation in creating alignment between various product groups, platform teams and core Editor team to make sure we maximise team autonomy at scale.

**On your first day, we'll expect you to have**:

- Significant experience with building large scale web software in Cloud
- Experience developing a team of developers
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Ability to drive technical decisions, innovation, quality, and outcomes
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- A track record of execution, risk management, and delivering results
