**How will I help?**

As a Data & Reporting Analyst you will join AML Intelligence Analytics team working on a range of strategic pieces of work where you will experience a constant stream of interesting data problems that have tangible impacts on the group and it’s customers.

You will be responsible for designing, testing, and deploying rules and machine learning models to identify fraudulent activity occurring using Westpac Group products.

The role will require you to analyse past data as well as new trends in suspicious customer activity to mitigate such risks using the power of code and critical thinking.

You will also have the chance to grow and learn best practices from other team members. You will get to work with some of the most interesting datasets and technologies in the industry.

**What do I need?**
- Have technical knowledge in SQL & Python/R. Prior experience in SAS is a bonus
- Have a strong quantitative background, coming from a degree like Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or Business Analytics
- Experience with data visualisation (we use Tableau but PowerBI is fine)
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, including written and verbal communication
- Desire to learn and grow technical and non-technical skills
