Location: WFH - with meetings at AHTS yard and office.
Hours: Full-Time, up to 12 Months with the possibility of gaining Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time employment.
Start Date: Late July - Early August 2025.
Adelaide Hills Tree Services is seeking an Administration and Accounts Officer to join our team on a Maternity Leave Contract. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative and accounting skills, particularly in ServiceM8 and Xero or someone who is highly motivated, organised and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceM8 Management:
- Job scheduling, task management and workflow coordination
- Managing client enquiries, quotes, and job bookings
- Ensuring accurate job documentation and invoicing
Xero Accounting:
- Processing accounts payable/receivable; and reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- General Xero duties
- Liaising with clients, contractors and staff
- Maintaining accurate records, contracts and compliance documentation
- Assisting with job coordination, team communication and urgent requests
- Quickly addressing issues to keep things moving efficiently
- Handing sensitive information with respect, confidentiality and discretion.

What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in an administration role - preferably in trades or service-based.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A confident communicator; someone who isn’t afraid to speak up and voice their thoughts
- Patience & understanding, holding the ability to handle challenges with a calm and level head.
- Innovative thinker; willing to share ideas and contribute to improving processes
- Resilient and open-minded; seeing setbacks as learning opportunities rather than failures
Experience is preferred, but not necessarily essential. If you are teachable, open to learning and willing to grow, we encourage you to apply. The right attitude and proactive mindset are just as important as experience
Please note that the compensation for this role will be above the award rate, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
