**Job Summary**:
The Truck Bodies and Trailer Finisher ensures truck bodies and trailers are completed to specification by performing sheeting, lighting, welding and all related tasks with skill and precision. Working under general supervision, the role is responsible for delivering high-quality finishes that meet customer expectations and the business standards.

**The Role**:
As a Finisher, you will manage the finer details in custom truck and trailer bodies, ensuring the finishing is compliant with industry standards and specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

- Perform sheeting, lighting, and plumbing installations on truck bodies and trailers.
- Organise and manage materials required for finishing tasks and maintain accurate inventory levels for finishing supplies.
- Liaise with other departments, such as production and assembly, to ensure seamless hand over between stages.
- Make custom adjustments to as requested by customers, ensuring alignment with specifications.
- Assist in basic functional testing of completed components, such as lighting systems or electrical fittings.
- Ensure all finishing work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain and tools and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules.
- Identify and report issues or inconsistencies in the finishing process.
- Inspect and verify completed work against specifications and quality standards before final delivery.
- Identify and rectify minor defects or imperfections during the finishing process.
- Oversee the final cleaning and preparation of vehicles for customer handover.
- Any other tasks or projects as directed by your Team Lead.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Repair or a relevant trade.
- Proven experience in sheeting, lighting and welding.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a workshop environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
