**Admission/Reception Clerk**:

- Permanent Part Time | 32hrs per fortnight
- Working Hours are 06:30 am until 1800 | 2 days per week

**About the role**

The **Admission/Reception Clerk** at Box Hill Hospital is a pivotal role that ensures the efficient operation of the hospital's administrative functions, including reception, telephone response, face to face interaction with patients, staff and visitors, admitting, transferring and discharging patients, preparation of histories, data management duties, clerical support to other departments and other duties related to patient and stakeholder communication. This position requires someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can work in a busy environment. Applicants must be able to perform as part of a team.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Experience in Hospital Patient Information Management Systems and medical terminology highly desirable
- Current/previous ward clerk experience
- The ability to work autonomously
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
