Softscape Landscaper

Overview: Embark on a fulfilling career as a hands-on Landscaper at ORL, leading small-scale projects and softscape
works in collaboration with the garden care team. Bring your passion for landscaping to life, shaping outdoor
spaces and contributing to the overall beauty of ORL-managed landscapes. This dynamic role also includes machine
and truck use, client consultations, quoting, and active involvement in garden maintenance tasks.

$65,000 annually, plus superannuation. You will be paid $33 per hour (+ or - experience dependent) and we expect
you to work approximately 8 hours a day full-time. You can have flexibility over how many hours you work, ranging
from 36-40 per week. We will consider a 9-day-a-fortnight position.

Vehicle: A dedicated work vehicle is set up for this role. The vehicle is housed in the yard and is a shared resource
with other trucks and machines used within the role/work.

Main Role:

- Project Management:

- Lead and manage small landscaping projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Utilize machinery and trucks as needed for project execution.
- Softscape Works:

- Execute softscape works, including planting, mulching, and garden renovations.
- Collaborate with the horticulture team to select and install plant materials.
- Client Interaction:

- Engage with clients to understand their landscaping preferences and requirements.
- Provide recommendations and expert advice on softscape enhancements.
- Conducted on-site consultations and provided accurate project quotes.
- Nursery Coordination:

- Work closely with the horticulturists to source and manage plant materials from the dedicated

nursery space.
- Aftercare Services:

- Assist the garden care team with aftercare services for newly landscaped areas.
- Landscape Design Support:

- Provide on-site support for landscape designers, ensuring the accurate implementation of design

plans.
- Maintenance and Improvement:

- Collaborate with the garden care team on garden maintenance tasks, including pruning, weeding,
- and general upkeep.
- Utilize machinery and trucks for efficient execution of maintenance works.

- Machine and Truck Use:

- Operate machinery and trucks as necessary for landscaping projects and garden maintenance.
- Irrigation:

- Undertake irrigation work on softscape projects and assist with irrigation installations on larger

projects or garden care sites.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in landscaping, focusing on small-scale projects and softscape works.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of plant materials and softscape design principles.
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
- Basic irrigation knowledge to solve common issues.
- Truck and Machine experience.
- Leadership of other team members.
- Ability to join an exciting team and be led by others as needed.
