**The Opportunity**
The HSE Advisor position will see you play an integral role within our Forklifts company.
The position is responsible for supporting the General Manager - Operations in the effective management and implementation of Health, Safety, Environment, Rehabilitation and Training throughout Komatsu Forklift sites nationally.
**Location**:Sydney NSW or Sumner Park, QLD with intermittent travel.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Lead and conduct incident investigations, including the preparation of the investigation report.
- Conduct site compliance inspections and HSE audits.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and where necessary communicate HSE information.
- Assist in training, mentoring and supporting Departmental employees to ensure full understanding and adherence to Komatsu’s Safety Management & Environmental systems, particularly KomSAFE.
- Undertake chemical management audit across Komatsu Forklifts sites nationally and assist in updating information into ChemWatch as well as educating personnel in the use of Chemwatch.
- Assist with Site Health, Safety, Environment Inductions for all employees and contractors.
- Assist in the management of Workers Compensation claims and Rehabilitation Plans/Programs
- Assist with the random drug and alcohol program.
- Prepare HSE bulletins, alerts and communications.

**Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in workplace health and safety
- Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation claims management.
- High level organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- High level of internal customer service/satisfaction skills
- Ability to communicate with end users and have well-developed written and oral communication skills
- High level of expertise in Microsoft suite computer programs
