Sydney- Ancillary Areas- PermanentOur client is seeking a recent graduate in mathematics, economics or quant focused degree’s. The successful applicant will support the senior traders for 12-18 months with the view to joining the trading training program in the US.

Applications will only be accepted from graduates with a proven high level of academic quantitative achievement (HD or minimum D averages throughout university) Ideally you would have excelled in both high school and university mathematics courses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analysis and Flow of Market Information
- Follow daily reports of dividends, earnings, and news. Communicate information to traders and produce reports for risk managers
- Adjustment of Options Market
- Input systems parameters to generate option quotes based on theoretical options models, customer order flow and interaction with traders and brokers
- Management of Option Specialist Books
- Make sure trades settle correctly & fix brakes. Maintain positions and calculate profit and loss
- Day to day administration and support to traders-maintain a smooth working environment for the trader
- Liaise with trading desk and brokers
- Prepare pricing sheets
- Under direct supervision of a trader will be responsible for changing market prices and executing trades
- Trade capture and reporting
- Upload OTC trades to prime brokers
- Reconciliation of positions market value between prime brokers and desk

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional quantitative and analytic skills
- 4 Unit Maths
- Knowledge of statistics and probability
- Understanding of option price theory and models
- Strong computer skills
- Thorough mastery of Excel and Access
- Programming ability preferred
- Financial markets experience
- Knowledge of financial products
- Knowledge / experience in Asian markets preferred
- Team player
- Confident, assertive, quick-thinking
