**The Company**

Our market leading client require the skills of an experienced Livestock Buyer to drive their inhouse operation.

The ideal person will come with a depth of knowledge and experience in buying livestock and have the ability to drive this function autonomously for our client.

**The role**:
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Map and develop the businesses national footprint, farmers, locations, pricing structure and relationships with the companies suppliers/farmers.
- Manage and negotiate long term contracts.
- Identify short term market opportunities.
- Develop and take full ownership of the businesses livestock strategy.
- Work closely with the business wider planning and S&OP team to ensure capacity and supply align.
- Procure cuts for businesses value add model strategy.

**Your background**:

- Previous experience in livestock procurement is essential.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Present the ability to negotiate and form long lasting relationships.
- Have a great ability to plan, develop and execute a strategic sourcing plan for livestock suppliers nationally.
- Open to domestic travel
- Have the ability to understand key metrics and root cause analysis of livestock suppliers.
