Whs Trainer and Assessor

**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced WHS trainer and assessor to deliver and assess qualifications that are relevant to the needs of industry and to ensure that learners develop job ready skills.

The position involves contributing to the continuous improvement of course materials as well as validation and moderation of learning and assessment.

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate broad experience in training and assessment practice, as well as a strong understanding of the compliance aspects of working in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The ability to communicate simply and effectively with lots of different stakeholders is a must.

You will work within the Quality Assurance team to deliver safe, compliant and effective training.

Main responsibilities of the roles include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting training and assessment of qualifications within area of expertise
- Providing expert advice for areas within scope of expertise
- Involvement in the development and continuous improvement of training initiatives and materials
- Maintaining learner records and ensuring best practice in relation to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and evaluation of training and assessment resources through validation processes
- Ensuring qualifications and vocational skills are maintained
- Maintaining commitment to ongoing professional development including strong links with industry
- Providing quality customer service within a training environment
- Developing flexible and innovative modes of delivery, focusing on appropriate adult learning techniques and group facilitation
- Ensuring timely administration of learner results and other administrative requirements
- Participating in the conduct of training needs analysis and skills audits
- Assisting to build a culture that recognises diversity, flexibility and inclusiveness to enhance the quality of education and training
- Ensuring compliance with EEO and WHS policies and legislation requirements including actively promoting an equitable, safe and healthy working environment.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

- Qualifications_
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, including the unit TAELLN411 or higher
- BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Knowledge and experience_
- Current industry experience in the relevant field
- 3-5 years experience delivering nationally recognised training and assessment for an RTO
- Experience delivering relevant and engaging training to a diverse range of students
- Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations RTOs 2015 and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Sound knowledge and experience in using student management systems.
