**The Opportunity**
This role will coordinate, supervise and deliver a high quality flexible occasional care service that is responsive to the needs of individual children and their families. Providing a safe environment for children and child care staff by adhering to the current Government regulations governing the child care service, Council and MAC policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement children's programs that are based on the developmental needs and interests of each child.
- Provide supervision, leadership and professional development opportunities for staff both internally and externally.
- Be responsible for the daily administration and operations of the service.
- Ensure a child safe environment and contribute to a culture of child safety by fulfilling the responsibilities and requirements of Council's Child Safe Policy and procedures.
**About You**
- Current certificates and qualifications to undertake this role and industry experience in this role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing childhood service programs that respond to client and participant needs.
- An understanding of Early Childhood Development theories and practices.
- Experience in providing a safe and appropriate environment for staff and clients.
- Capacity to supervise, support and motivate staff.
- Ability to communicate, co-operate with and effectively support parents in their child care responsibilities while their children attend the service; respecting individual attitudes and values.
- Physically and mentally fit to undertake duties as outlined in this position description. The position requires the incumbent to complete a pre-employment medical check.
- No relevant criminal record found in a police check.
