The work performed by Cyber Security Consultant will include:

- Providing security considerations into the delivery of in-flight projects
- Undertaking privacy impact analyses and business impact analyses for projects
- Supporting the delivery of key security documentation for system authorisation
- Performing technology assessments for various security products in evaluation
- Reviewing and updating security artefacts including policies and standards
- Assisting with other work at the direction of the client.

**Essential Criteria**
- At least 10 year's work experience in IT, cyber security or professional services, with 5+ years' experience specifically in governance, risk and compliance functions
- Applicable qualifications including but not limited to cyber security, risk management, business management, computer science or any other related field
- At least one of the following certifications including:

- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Any other reputable certification from ISACA or ISC2
- Extensive knowledge of, or ability to gain knowledge in the following:

- The Protective Security Policy Framework
- The Australian Government Information Security Manual
- The NIST Cyber Security Framework, for cyber and privacy
- Changes and impacts resulting from SOCI amendments
- Cloud services, particularly relating to IaaS for AWS
- Security objectives, and business drivers for security
- Proven experience in delivering some of the following services:

- Essential Eight, NIST CSF or other assessments
- Development of documentation such as System Security Plans, Incident Response Plans, Risk Management Plans, and Plans of Action & Milestones
- Architecture reviews and recommendations for enhancement
- Threat modelling, risk identification and assessment
- Personal traits include the following:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated engagement at the C-Suite level
- Proven ability to build, establish, maintain and develop key relationship
- Effective time management skills
- Good presentation skills
