**About the role**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Health Service Financial Performance & Capability, the Director, Health Service Financial Performance provides critical financial leadership, oversight and advice that ensures Victoria's health system and its service providers remain financially sustainable.

**How you'll make a difference**:
The Director, Health Service Financial Performance is responsible for working closely with senior executive departmental and sector stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial pressures on health services.

The Director, Health Service Financial Performance will build and maintain critical sector relationships to enable the early identification and resolution of financial sustainability pressures at both entity-specific and system-wide levels.

- An experienced and outstanding leader of people at a senior level who is passionate about improving Victoria's health system to deliver the best possible outcomes for people?
- Able to provide strong leadership to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to build shared commitment and coordinate implementation?
- Able to lead, sustain and influence key relationships internally and externally?
- Recognised for your expertise in leading and delivering change in complex environments and for your deep understanding of the Victorian health system?

**Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate**:

- A deep understanding of both the health sector and state government processes and policies, including cabinet processes.
- Exceptional advisory, negotiation, communication and relationship building skills, with demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a politically sensitive context.
- Knowledge of contemporary approaches to health system demand and capacity management and response, and its role in the wider context of government policy and reform priorities.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in health, accounting, commerce, economics, political science, public administration or public policy.
- Professional Accounting Body Qualification and Membership - CPA/CA
