Here at IHCC, we are seeking passionate and dedicated support workers to provide essential care, support, and assistance to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve greater independence, well-being, and community participation.

We need progressive individuals with experience in disability support and personal care who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

**THIS ROLE INVOLVES SUPPORTING 2 X TEENAGERS (1:1 EACH) WITH COMPLEX PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITIES.**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Facilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks
- Assisting participants to perform important daily activities
- Management of chronic health conditions
- Performing home-based tasks such as cleaning
- Providing emotional support
- Report any real or potential risks of harm to a participant, including child and young people.

**Skills**:

- Creative, flexible and resilient attitude.
- Working with young people
- ASD and non-verbal participants
- Implementing Behaviour Support Management Plans and authorised restrictive practices for complex behaviour
- Understanding high sensory overwhelm
- Significant emotional dysregulation
- Managing absconding risk
- PICA (consumption of non-food items)
- Incontinence and fecal smearing
- Nasal gastrointestinal (NG) tube (feeding tube).

What is required:

- Preferred: Diploma or above in Youth Services, Disability Services or similar
- Current Worker Screening and WWCC (if required), or willing to obtain
- First Aid Certificate
- Drivers License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- New Worker NDIS Induction Module
- Smartphone.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
