**Role Description/Criteria**

OLSH College Bentleigh is an independent Catholic secondary school for girls with a commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Administered by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the College is built on a tradition of 86 years of inspiring excellence at the Heart of girls' education.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified English teachers for this full time, ongoing teaching position.

**Head of Department English - POL-2**

**Commencing Term 1, 2025**

**The ability to teach VCE English is essential.**

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide our OLSH students with a rich and rewarding educational experience. The Head of Department English will be collegial and able to embrace a team based approach to teaching and learning.

The Head of Department English is a Position of Leadership (POL 2) and a member of the College Curriculum Team.

The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration and the right to work in Australia.
