**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Service Technician**

**Reports to**: Integration Manager
**Location**: On Site

**Nature of Position**
A Service Technician is responsible for the Handover, Servicing, and some Installation of Intelligent
Home Solutions into residential homes. They are expected to carry out assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner. Service Technicians are expected to communicate clearly and effectively with clients to successfully handover equipment and resolve issues relating to service jobs. Technicians will provide a consistent approach and outcome to their work, giving due respect to any subsequent tradespeople to visit the site. Technicians are the face of the Company on site and will always provide courtesy to clients, builders, and other trades on site.

**Job Duties**:
Review assigned jobs and ensure any potential queries are dealt with including any equipment issues.

Sign and collect all equipment required to complete any assigned tasks. Return any unused equipment back to store as appropriate.

Maintain sufficient levels of materials required in your vehicle to enable efficient job completion on site and to meet the expectations of the company.

Check over onsite plans to find locations for equipment to be installed.
Meet with clients and builders on site at designated times to complete handover and service work.
Communicate with clients effectively to maintain client satisfaction.
Install additional equipment as required to complete client packages.
Test and handover Smart Wiring, Security, Intercom, CCTV and AV Equipment to clients.
Problem solve issues with installations to resolve any outstanding service work.
Be able to upsell additional equipment to clients on site and install in a timely manner.
Complete invoicing and payments onsite using PayWay or Square.
Keep accurate, honest time and materials related to assigned jobs.
Maintain your vehicle to the required company standards, both in terms of cleanliness and ensuring appropriate service maintenance.
Maintain the upkeep and serviceability of all tools in your care.
Participate in ongoing training.
Have excellent understanding of WHS in the workplace and carry out all tasks to the WHS standards expected by the company.
Be responsible in the use of the company vehicle and drive as per the relevant road laws.
In all cases, provide courtesy and respect to clients, builders, and all other tradespeople on site.
In all situations represent the company professionally and efficiently.

**Technical Skills**:
Excellent Customer service skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills are essential.
Demonstrate a high level of communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in such a way that is appropriate to the end user.
Able to analyse and interpret residential house plans.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
