**The Role**

**Paying up to $173,088 Package **_(depending on experience) _

**Permanent role direct with a NSW Government Department**

The Principal Commercial & Market Advisor (PCMA) will be responsible for leading work which provides insight into the NSW market, advise regarding The Fund's investment priorities, and building on economic modelling demonstrating the correlation between availability and cost. The Fund is designed to provide supply-side interventions to reduce barriers to workforce involvement by improving both access and affordability. The PCMA leads financial analysis which is then utilised to advise on funding and policy decisions, the design and management of the commercial and market review strategy, and coordinates performance reporting for the sector.

**Reporting directly to the Director of the Division, some key responsibilities include**:

- Prepare quality evidence-based briefs, proposals, correspondence and reports, identify areas for improvement and make clear recommendations to the Director, Executive Director, Deputy Secretary, the Secretary, and the Minister
- Support the Director, Executive Director and other senior officers in policy and funding decisions by leading complex financial analysis and market monitoring
- Lead the development of various metrics and performance reporting tools to examine and assess the sectors' performance and make informed decisions, identify investment priorities, and influence policy development
- Represent the Directorate at major committees and forums
- Identify and provide advice regarding areas of risk and potential improvement strategies
- Collaborate with various divisions of the Directorate to demonstrate the impact of reforms and policy proposals
- Manage systems & processes and provide advice & training to staff across the Department to ensure high quality consolidated reporting
