The Role

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will be providing education and care for children from six weeks to six years of age. Your duties can include:

- Supervise and interact with children
- Assist with all room routines such as nappy change, rest and sleep, and food service
- Greet families and children
- Facilitate group time with songs, stories or other activities
- Assist children in developing life and learning skills such as self-feeding themselves and toileting
- Set up, implement, reset and modify programmed experiences
- Assisting the Educators with programming according to the Early Years Learning Framework including writing observations and contributing to planning activities
- Ensure that the centre's strict cleaning regime is followed at all times.
- Interact and encourage children's play with one another and help guide them in their choices when needed

**A MUST**:
Applicants must have a firm commitment to Child Safety, and be willing to demonstrate knowledge of Child Safety.

**Requirements**:

- Own transport (note public transport is not easily accessible at this location)
- A genuine love for children and a desire to make early childhood education a long-term career
- Strong work ethic
- Enthusiasm and lots of energy
- Experience working with children
- If successful, you will need to obtain a Working With Children Check, reference checks and Police Check
- Must be able to commit to a 18 month traineeship
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint etc
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older (on commencement of employment)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $14.22 - $22.05 per hour
