**About the role**

ICHM is seeking an **Academic Officer** to join our **Adelaide CBD campus**. This role is critical in providing friendly, informative, and quality customer service to our students as well as supporting the Academic team.

The is a permanent full-time position based at our Currie Street Campus in the heart of Adelaide.

The Academic Office is a key member of the academic support team and this role is responsible for:

- Undertake academic administration tasks including timetabling, attendance monitoring, and resulting
- Providing scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing scheduling conflicts
- Assist with reviewing and updating information in databases, and materials, including study guides. learner guides and other student-facing materials.
- Attend and provide support, in meetings and relevant committees such as the Teaching and Learning Committee, including preparing agendas and minute taking
- Record, compile and analyse data in an Excel
- Represent ICHM at Discovery Day events and other student-facing events as required
- Respond to administrative enquiries from students and staff, including student completion documents, transcripts and certificates
- Assist with student enrolments, USIs, Student IDs, and orientations
- Assisting with database management of the library
- Liaise with staff and external stakeholders, on specific student, staff and procedural matters
- Process requests, documentation and prepare relevant information to decision makers in relation to student matters in accordance with ICHM’s rules, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

**About you**:
The Academic Officer is expected to develop a good level of rapport with staff and students. Other desirable qualities:

- High level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and Word
- Demonstrated experience in using student management systems and other databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous administrative experience in Higher education or international education environment
- Ability to provide accurate interpretation of rules/regulations in the provision of advice (written and oral) to students, administrative and academic staff
- Working in cross cultural environments
- Working autonomously within a team environment
- Heavy workloads with peak and ebb times
- Preparation of meeting agendas and minutes
- Current child-related work certificate (DCSI) or ability to obtain.
