Culinary Trainer

Our Compass Group Australia "Brisbane Academy" training team are seeking a qualified chef with hands on experience, who is keen to make a positive impact on our new employee's onboarding experience. Training experience is not required, but an amazing, personable attitude and cooking experience is a must.

**The Role**:

- Plan, prepare and facilitate culinary training for cooks, chefs and other hospitality roles
- Conduct practical training and assessment, in line with CGA policies and procedures
- Maintain the Academy kitchen premises
- Provide catering and other food offerings for training and internal functions/events
- Lead and manage people through coaching & development
- Ensure staff comply with food safety procedures
- Role model high standards of performance and behaviour

**The Person**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in a Commercial Kitchen +2 years
- Experience coaching/training others on the job or in a formal learning setting
- Flexible approach and attitude
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
- Sound computer skills
- Prior Food Hygiene training and / or accreditation
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (preferred). If you do not have this qualification, Compass Group will fully fund this training within the first year.
