Specialist Surgical Gynaecological Oncologist

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- The Department of Gynaecological Oncology at the Mercy Hospital Women is one of three tertiary subspecialty referral units in Victoria. It is a vibrant and expanding unit with a focus on providing holistic care in Gynaecological Oncology. The department in addition to the surgical management of gynaecological cancers, also includes a strong focus on pre-invasive disease management and maintains their own in-house chemotherapy services.
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated subspecialist gynaecological oncologist to support the extensive clinical workload but also to work collaboratively with the Unit in the day to day running of the department. This would include assistance in “training and education”, “research and audit” along with policy development.- Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg Victoria
- 42hours/ per fortnight. 0.6 EFT (negotiable depending on successful applicant).
- Will include allocation to operative theatre lists, outpatient clinics, colposcopy, audit and multidisciplinary meetings as well as participating in an on-call roster.
- Fixed term part time position. Commencement date negotiable
- Provide quality client-focused care to patients, their family and carers, using a holistic approach
- Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which requires you to provide highly responsive and flexible service to patients and carers

**ABOUT YOU:
**- Eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Specialist Qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
- Fellowship in RANZCOG or equivalent
- Subspecialty certification in Gynaecological Oncology (CGO or equivalent)
- Knowledge of contemporary issues in acute health care and proven success in the management of gynaecological cancers in a collaborative care environment
