**Ventia**are hiring a full time permanent **Telepower/Telecommunications Technician** to work in our Telco sector on the Telecommunications Telepower network in Northern Beaches and Sydney areas. This role will see you actively working on critical Telecommunications DC and AC power systems. You will be required to travel regularly in the area you will be responsible for. Travel may involve working away from home (overnight stays & remote travel).

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Preventative and Reactive work on Small to Large DC power systems, Solar Power systems, Generators and Telecommunications alarm telephony
- 24/7 Fault response to critical time sensitive faults
- Installation of Batteries as required

**What we’re looking for**:

- Telecommunications experience is essential.
- Trade qualification or greater than 5 years working on Telecommunications equipment
- Sound knowledge of DC power and AC power Generation principles
- Computer literate, must be able to utilise mobile apps and laptops to interrogate power systems
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Although this is working in the electrical space, an electrical licence is not essential but would be beneficial.
- CPR & First Aid qualifications are mandatory (training is available)
- Confined Space, Working at Heights/tech Rigging, Hoist/Lifting are all desirable
