Scope of the Role

As the People Manager - Melbourne, you will assist the National Head of People in providing strategic and operational HR advice and support to all OMD Melbourne employees. You will proactively partner with your client groups to ensure the growth of people leaders, with a focus on performance, development and coaching. You will work with the National People team and market leads to ensure that the people strategy is converted into local market initiatives leveraged to attract and retain market leading talent.
As a trusted member of the People team, you will champion inclusivity for all whilst possessing a fun, personable and approachable manner. You will thrive on managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and on developing strong relationships with all staff at OMD.
Who are you?
- 5+ years of generalist HR experience
- Passion for building culture and creating initiatives that drive engagement and create connection and belonging
- Great organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Great stakeholder management
- Sound knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and conditions of employment, including modern awards, NES and the Fair Work Act
- High level communication skills and strong emotional intelligence
- Resilient, and solutions oriented; able to deliver impactful advice to leaders individually and in group settings
- Comfortable delivering workshops and engagement sessions
- Comfortable working autonomously but a strong team player, who collaborates and shares willingly and generously
