**Apprentice Landscaper (1st or 2nd Year)**

**Position Title**: Apprentice Landscaper (1st or 2nd Year)
**Reports To**: Foreman / Site Supervisor
**Employment Type**: Full-time (Apprenticeship Contract)
**Location**: Various sites across Sydney, predominantly in the Hills District

**Hours**:730-330 Mon-Fri

**About the Role**

As a Landscaping Apprentice, you will learn all aspects of landscaping Construction & maintenance, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will be working alongside a small experienced team of tradesmen, gaining hands-on skills, and developing a strong foundation for your career in landscaping.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the preparation of job sites including excavation, demolition, and clean-up.
- Support in the construction of retaining walls, paving, turf laying, and sports courts.
- Help install edging, drainage, lawn & garden maintenance
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment under supervision.
- Carry out general labouring duties such as digging, lifting, and material handling.
- Attend TAFE or RTO training days and complete all coursework and assessments.
- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude and respect towards clients, supervisors, and team members.

**Skills and Qualities**
- Genuine interest in landscaping and outdoor work.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and physically fit for outdoor work.
- Positive attitude with attention to detail.

**Requirements**:

- Current driver’s licence
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Eligible to undertake a Certificate III in Landscape Construction.
- Commitment to attend TAFE or training days as required.
- Must be a permanent resident

**Remuneration**
- Paid in line with the **Building and Construction General On-site Award (Apprenticeship Rates)**.
- All study/TAFE days are paid as part of normal working hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $15.47 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
