**About the Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Technician to join our Electrical Construction team based at our Hendra office.

As one of our Communications Technicians you will:

- Hands on installation of commercial communication and security systems
- Assist with commissioning and trouble-shooting of newly installed systems
- Rack building
- Cable pulling & terminations, including Fibre splicing
- Specialise and has experience in Fibre, Cat 6/6A certified systems
- Meticulous and tidy installation to high standards set by the team
- Be part of a dedicated and professional technical installation team
- Be flexible and help the team where needed
- Projects in Brisbane and surrounding regions

**And a bit about You**

Are you the person CV needs? If you can answer yes to the points below, you just might be
- An accomplished communications/ security installation technician with a strong track record of integrated system installation.
- Fault finding ability across a diverse range of systems.
- Experience working on Dete communications projects would be desirable
- A passion for technology and problem solving and be able to install and integrate system components from several different manufacturers, drawing upon your knowledge of the latest products (and their connections) within the industry.
- Knowledge of specifically Comscope (Krone), Systimax, Molex and Siemon technologies would be beneficial.
- As well as your technical knowledge, you will utilise your communication skills to be a team player and deliver excellent customer service.
- Ideally an electrical licence as well based on the diverse work CV has to offer
- An attitude that demonstrates a customer focus and pride in your work, coupled with a sense of urgency and commercial awareness is essential.
- Experience of commercial projects, relevant cabling licences are essential. Must have experience of working on large construction sites where multiple teams work together simultaneously.
- Great attention to detail and a good understanding of computer networks.
- Licences required are:

- A Certificate 3 - including endorsement
- Structured, Fibre, MATV
- An Electrical License (optional but would be ideal)
- A current driver's license
- A current white card
- A current cabling license
