Boilermaker and Trade Assistant are Required in Bacchus Marsh. Temp to Perm Opportunity $40 to $45 Per Hour

Demand for quality structural steel is higher than ever and many of our clients are continuously growing, searching for hands-on construction professionals to join their boilermaker teams. Our successful clients based in Bacchus Marsh and Melbourne. fabricate a range of products including structural steel beams, columns, plates, T bars and much more Workshop base Position.

**Your new role**
You will be in the workshop responsible for the welding and fabrication of structural steel, reading shop drawings and complying with the high quality standards of the company. Overall you will be building specialised structures for a number of civil and commercial projects around Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh. This is an exciting opportunity for highly skilled structural boilermakers and Trade Assistances looking to join a rapidly growing and successful company long term.

Responsibilities will include:

- Manufacturing of products (skills required for this: welding, cutting, folding, drilling and fabricating)
- Effectively manage breakdowns - negotiate anticipated downtime (communication skills are essential)
- Complete required maintenance procedures for workshop suppliers, equipment and storage of hazardous products
- Report and isolate faulty equipment and machinery from operation
- Oversee TA & apprentices when required
- Opening/closing of shop yard when required

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Qualified Boilermaker or experience assisting Boilermakers
- General welding experience, MIG, TIG, ARC
- Structural steel welding experience
- White Card
- Valid Drivers Licence & Forklift Ticket
