Job Description Summary

Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communication Technician to join Service Stream based in our Huntingwood office.
About the Role

Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking Communication Technicians to join our growing company. You will be responsible for installation and operation of telecommunications network plant and equipment including routine installation, operation, and diagnostic activities.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Huntingwood NSW

Reporting Line: Field Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be primarily responsible for Building, Maintaining, and Decommissioning Telecommunication Networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility. You will also be responsible for the following:

- Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily
- Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
- Willing and able to work away from home from time to time
- Communicate/report on scheduled works changes to Field Supervisor.
- Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
- Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).

About You

To be successful in this role, you are an experienced Telecommunications field worker. We are seeking a mechanically minded individual with demonstrated knowledge and experience within aerial networks.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Previous experience in Telecommunications maintenance or construction, specifically relating to Fibre Hauling
- Previous experience working on Aerial networks is desirable
- Previous experience in Underground cable hauling is desirable
- A current MR Truck Drivers license
- Working at Heights, and Power Awareness certifications are desireable
- Commitment to health and safety and ability to drive a culture of care and compliance
- A Current and Valid Australian Driver’s License
