**About the Role**
This position is a **6-month short-term non ongoing contract with the possibility of a 6-month extension**, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.
As a Case Manager at Striive, you’ll be working closely with therapeutic support workers and team leaders to develop and implement tailored care plans for children in our care that are informed and cohesive.
In addition, you’ll be:
**Assessing needs**: Identifying the needs of young people and their families
**Advocating**: Supporting young people and acting as an advocate for them
**Providing support**: Offering emotional and practical support to young people
**Analysing programs**: Evaluating programs against the young person's needs and risk areas
**Implementing interventions**: Helping young people develop skills that will help them learn and grow.
**About You**
You’ll have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Specialist and/or related behavioral sciences degree level with relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Case Manager
- Strong, demonstrated experience in child welfare / youth work / community services / residential care
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with families and promoting family centered strength-based practices.
- Demonstrated case management experience including a complex/competing caseload.
- Sound knowledge of child protection and issues in relation to children at risk, particularly in regard to their safety, development, and connection to family, culture and community
- Ability to liaise with families, foster carers and professionals, and to advocate for children/young people and carers.
- High level of written communication skills, ability to prepare reports and correspondence to a high standard for a range of audiences.

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
