**APS is seeking a motivated Maintenance Planner to join our company.**
**Full time position Monday to Friday.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule that includes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Create detailed work orders that outline the scope of work, required materials, labour hours, and safety precautions for maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to allocate the appropriate personnel and equipment for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Procure and manage inventory for necessary parts, materials, and tools needed for maintenance tasks.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely orders to prevent shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and facility assets, including maintenance history, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Regularly update asset information.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct safety assessments and risk assessments as necessary.
- Monitor maintenance costs and implement cost-effective strategies for maintenance activities.
- Manage the maintenance budget and provide forecasts as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in maintenance operations.
- Implement best practices to optimise maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other departments to ensure clear communication regarding maintenance schedules and priorities.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Analyse equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and effective communication within the maintenance department.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Hold technical qualifications in automation and/or mechatronic, such as a degree or diploma in Science/Engineering or possess relevant experience.
- Minimum experience of 5+ years in a maintenance position
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Intermediate MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of CMMS systems
- Physically fit, driven and passionate
- Safety focused and high attention to detail
