**Job Introduction**:
Quarry Coordinator - Coordinate the activities of the quarry team in planning, schedule, leading & reporting on quarry activities to achieve business objectives.

Australia - TAS - Mole Creek

**Our Role**:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this role will be based at our Mole Creek Limestone quarry and processing plant, 50 minutes west of Launceston. The Quarry Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the limestone quarry, ensuring efficient production, compliance with safety regulations, and effective resource management. The coordinator will work closely with various teams to optimize output while maintaining quality and safety standards.

**Key Focus Areas the Role Will Include**:
**Operational Management**:

- Oversee the extraction and processing of limestone to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, equipment use, and workforce management.
- Monitor production targets and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Plan and develop daily, weekly and monthly quarry plans.
- Monitoring activities being performed by quarry operators and provide advice and feedback.
- Enter and review production data, monitor trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Optimize quarry activities in terms of truck movements, crushing and screening operations.
- Be competent and able to operate mobile plant and fixed crusher.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Implement safety training programs for all employees and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead by example and drive improvements in HSE performance with a focus on individual responsibility, safe work behaviours and compliance with permits and procedures.

**Resource Management**:

- Manage inventory levels of limestone and other materials, ensuring adequate supply for production needs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of necessary materials and equipment.

**Team Coordination**:

- Coordinate daily activities of quarry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and promote teamwork among various departments.

**Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production, safety incidents, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management regarding operational performance, safety compliance, and resource utilization.

**Quality Control**:

- Ensure that limestone produced meets the required quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the extraction and processing stages.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quarry management or mining operations, preferably in limestone extraction.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in safety regulations and practices in the mining industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
