Intermediate Bookkeeper

We’re a small, friendly bookkeeping practice based in **Pakenham**, providing high-quality bookkeeping, BAS, and payroll services to local businesses. We’re looking for an **intermediate bookkeeper** to join our team for around **10 hours per week**, with the flexibility to work around school hours and family commitments — all from our welcoming local office.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients
- Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing BAS and payroll reports (Xero experience preferred)
- Communicating with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Supporting the owner with ad-hoc bookkeeping and admin tasks

**What We’re Looking For**
- 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Confidence using **Xero** (and ideally, Dext or Hubdoc)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Someone friendly, reliable, and keen to re-enter the workforce in a supportive, local environment
