The Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers or Behaviour Analysts to join the Student Support Services team in Loddon Campaspe, based in either Castlemaine or Gisborne.

**What is the role?**

The purpose of Student Support Services (SSS) is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and Area levels. SSS comprise a broad range of Allied Health professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers and occupational therapists.

The successful applicant will be a valuable member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing a flexible service across 4 priorities areas of critical incidents, acute issues/complex cases, prevention/capability building and short to medium term intervention. This work will involve a range of formal and informal assessments and interventions as well as providing significant collaborative networking opportunities with local service providers.

This role involves collaboration with other SSS team members to provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support. Other key components of the role include highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills that enable effective liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond, and the ability to work autonomously.

If you are passionate about child and adolescent development, trauma informed practices, complex presentations and consulting with educational staff around behavioural and environmental adjustments to support learning engagement, and like working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team - then a role in the SSS is the job for you.

This is a 0.6FTE fixed term position until 11 September 2025, with additional FTE available to increase to 1.0FTE.

**Mandatory Qualifications**:
**Psychologist**: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology; full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).

**Occupational Therapist**:A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy; registration as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

**Social Worker**: A graduate or post-graduate degree in social work or equivalent; eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers

**Behaviour Analyst**:A Masters qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis as part of a verified course sequence as specified by the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA).
