Meat Inspector

**About the role**

Join the dynamic team at R Radford and Son as a full-time Meat Inspector based in Warragul, VIC. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the meat processing operations.

**What you'll be doing**
- Inspect incoming livestock and meat products to verify quality and compliance with industry regulations
- Conduct visual, sensory and laboratory tests to assess the condition, freshness and safety of meat
- Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records
- Identify and report any issues or non-conformities to management
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related concerns
- Actively contribute to a positive, safety-focused work environment

**What we're looking for**
- Relevant qualifications in food safety, meat inspection or a related field
- Proven experience as a meat inspector or in a similar quality assurance role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and quality control best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality

Pay: $77,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
