Support Worker Position-Immediate Start
- 28-30 hour a week Monday
- Friday with one family.

Ideally the family would like this role shared between two Support Workers. Support Workers must be fit & active. This role includes transport, meal prep, Personal care, in home support and community access.

At JC Assist we are small growing business, we support older people and people living with additional needs to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their community we also support families just needing some extra help.

We’re looking for friendly, motivated, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team.

Here’s what we look for in future team members:

- Willing to work on a casual basis with permanent shifts
- Available on Monday to Friday for morning and afternoon shifts. (with extra hours during the school holidays) With the opportunity to take on extra hours with other clients.
- Experience in disability services or Childcare, relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Disability, Diploma Children services or other Disability or childcare qualifications.
- Basic first aid training, eg CPR and/or Level 2 First Aid certificate. If you don’t have this yet, we’re happy to recommend a training provider
- A valid driver’s license
- Clean, well maintained and reliable car.
- Smartphone and access to internet.
- Reliability
- Willingness to follow instructions as advised by the family.
- Willingness to follow the families routine.

The family have had support workers before who have not followed the family/childs routine or instructions given by the family and have been unreliable so it is extremely important for successful applicants to be reliable, to follow a routine and the instructions given by the family.

*Willingness to travel within our service area of Knox, Yarra Valley, Maroondah and surrounding areas

We’ll also arrange a video interview before we look to match you with one or more of our clients (we build teams to suit each individual client).
