Get Yourself Moving programs is a restorative reablement service operating from our residential care site at Rooty Hill. The program serves older people across Western Sydney from Parramatta to the Blue Mountains, reaching people in the home and in local community centres. Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a not-for-profit organisation that understands the essential role that allied health services play in helping older people stay active and independent.

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated **exercise physiologist** to join a team that also includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and sport scientists.

You will work from state-of-the-art facilities, incorporating a gymnasium and treatment rooms, and you will be part of a team delivering the following:

- entry level individual and group exercise programs for residents;
- targeted individual and group exercise programs for residents with particular chronic health conditions;
- individualised restorative programs to help particular residents restore their functional abilities; and
- an innovative restorative respite program that allows people living at home to have a short stay program and then return home with their function improved.

The successful applicant will be someone who genuinely likes elderly people and will appreciate the opportunities and challenges of being part of an innovative program. They will have a strong focus on evidence-based practice and will enjoy being part of a multi-disciplinary team. Postgraduate experience, preferably in aged care, would be desirable.

The successful applicant will be a person who has a genuine interest in improving people’s functional independence and who enjoys some diversity and autonomy in their job.
