With an expected mine life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community in which we operate. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.

We are seeking an experienced site-based Village and Aerodrome Supervisor** **to join our busy Flights & Accommodation team. This position will effectively manage and oversee the contract relating to the Karara Village operation, while providing additional Aerodrome administrative support as well as adhoc coverage to the Travel Team.

To be successful in this position you must have a focus and passion for providing the best experience possible for employees, contractors and visitors to the Karara Village.

This role operates on a **5 days on and 2 days off, 4 days on and 3 days** off day shift roster.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Conduct daily KML inspections and safety interactions.
- Conduct Monthly Operational Audits with the Facilities Management contractor based on set service deliverable KPI targets.
- Review contractor daily, weekly and monthly reports and statistics.
- Ensure that any identified issues / incidents with FM is actioned in a prompt and timely manner.
- Ensure that FM contractor is always complying with legislative and regulatory rules and regulations.
- Monitor service delivery against budget with the Superintendent F&A and pursue opportunities for improvement in expenditures and return on capital investments.
- Ensure meal standards are met consistently and action any issues on the spot. (Quantities, quality, presentation, sub-stores are filled up, mis-eu-place etc.
- To liaise with KML Travel Team and Superintendent Flights & Accommodation and Aerodrome Manager to ensure accommodation availability for construction, shut-downs and ad-hoc contractors are met.
- To oversee maintenance and construction activities at Karara Village. (MAXIMO Program)
- To undertake quarterly accommodation quality control audits.
- To coordinate and promote Karara Village lifestyle/wellness programs and sports/social events.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Provide coverage for the Travel Team as and when required and during periods of absence.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience;**
- Hospitality and / or Food Safety related certifications, ARO Certificate
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role at a large scale, remote, on-site camp
- WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- First Aid, Village management, Personnel management, Aerodrome
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, In-flight and Avantik (beneficial)
- Australian Citizenship or hold a valid visa with permission to work
- National Police clearance
