We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our procurement team.

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting NPD projects; Pricing enquiry; RFP/RFQ, as well as raising Purchase Orders to ensure we receive input materials and/or packaging items for productions on time. It will also include managing supplier relationship partnerships, such as monitoring and reporting on DIFOT

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Promote Safety, Quality and Process within the business and ensure SQP thinking is incorporated into all purchasing decisions
- Support in either raw or packaging material sourcing, including obtain quotations (RFP, RFO or formal tender) from suppliers and maintaining pricing system
- Coordinate samples and establish specifications with suppliers to meet marketing and R&D briefs
- Manage the Supply Chain responsibilities for NPD and liaise effectively with purchasing; ensuring compliance with agreed timelines, accurate costing & lead-time estimates and product launch success
- Accurate and comprehensive communication to all relevant departments
- Participating with embedding a culture of innovation and internal customer service within the Procurement team.
- Manage the allocation and creation of SAP item numbers for new materials.
- Contribute to reports and team on performance.
- Continuously improve own capabilities through demonstrated commitment to personal development and perform other duties as required or directed

**You will have**
- An organized, forward-looking approach and an ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Project management skills needed to manage and communicate detailed and practical plans.
- Intermediate to advanced competency in computer-based communication and information management tools (Word, Excel, Power point, BI reports)
- Sound technical and working knowledge of the entire Supply Chain, preferably within an FMCG Company.
- Sound understanding of raw material technologies as relating to food manufacturers.
- A good working knowledge of the Company ERP system (SAP) and overall Business financials.
- A good working knowledge of the current retail environment and supply chain projects of key Customers.
- A good working knowledge of the latest food and labelling trends.
- Capacity to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business.
- Flexibility to handle a range of tasks with changing priorities.
- A strong sense of ethics and personal integrity.
- Responsive to challenges and able to “think on one's feet”.
