**The Opportunity**

This role provides community-based services to NDIS participants of all ages and abilities helping people in their daily lives, achieve their goals and strengthen their links within the community.

In working with a team of highly skilled therapists within a multidisciplinary environment, you will be supported to work either as a specialist or generalist or to grow and develop into a leadership role.

With Hubs all over Melbourne, you will have the flexibility to work from your choice of place, home, office and in the community with the chance to visit one of our vibrant hubs which are always full of clinicians collaborating, learning, and connecting while working towards common goals.

**Your role as an Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at KEO will include**:

- Work with a participants care team, to gather information from multiple sources including workplaces, schools, support workers, therapists, and medical professionals.
- Conduct a holistic assessment of a person and their environments
- Staying curious while developing a hypothesis about what might be going on for the participant.
- Collaborate with the support network to ensure the plan is in line with the participant’s support needs and is understood by everyone.
- Report the use of restrictive practices and behaviours of concern directly to the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission when required
- Ongoing input and training for the person and their supports to ensure they are confident to carry out the behaviour support plan.
- Attend team huddles, discipline specific and multidisciplinary case conferences, and a “KEO coffee club” each week
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to share knowledge and ideas
- Celebrate wins with your participants, families, your colleagues, and leadership team
- Attend opportunities for networking, learning and development

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Qualifications in either Social Sciences/Occupational Therapy/Speech Pathology/Mental Health, or Social work
- Approved Self-Assessment Capability Framework as ‘Core’, ‘Proficient’, ‘Advanced’ or ‘Specialist’
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an allied health field with a keen interest of working with people who use behaviours of concern.
