Experienced Bookkeeper

Position: Bookkeeper - Pharmacy Specialist

Duration: 1-2 days (4-6 hours per day) with strong potential for ongoing partnership

Location: Sydney North Shore/Lower North Shore (In-person collaboration required on this occasion)

Rate: $60-80/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Collaboration Dates: Monday, 30 June 2025 & Tuesday 1 July 2025

Collaboration Time: You may nominate the time that suits you for our 4-6 hour session.

We are an independent pharmacy seeking an experienced, qualified bookkeeper for immediate assistance with year-end requirements and general bookkeeping services.

What We Need Done - Guidance on completing the tasks below:
BAS lodgements and compliance
Payroll, PAYG, and superannuation
Bank reconciliations and account management
Financial reporting preparation
Tax compliance
General bookkeeping best practices for our industry

Essential Requirements
- Currently practicing bookkeeper - active in the field with recent experience
- Registered BAS Agent
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience (healthcare/pharmacy experience valued)
- Xero proficiency
- Current knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, superannuation laws and compliance requirements
- Available for in-person work in Sydney's North Shore or Lower North Shore on this occasion, with potential for mixed WFH arrangements if we collaborate on a regular basis in the future
- Recent references upon request

Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Experience with pharmacy businesses - PBS, OTC, professional services and other remuneration streams, pharmaceutical wholesale arrangements, compliance requirements
⭐ Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or equivalent
⭐ Strong communication and collaborative working style
