To continue our success, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a **Qld Head of Maintenance** to join our Leadership Team at our Tingalpa Snackfood Manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is responsible for coaching and managing a team of 6 direct employees and 54 indirect team members across the Maintenance Department.
This role will involve leading all site engineering functions, planning, and implementing initiatives to boost plant availability to reduce downtime. Additionally, it will also support cost control, quality, safety, and service objectives, and collaborate with national teams on engineering-related projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Enhance Plant Performance**: Increase plant uptime, improve capability to reduce downtime, and drive monthly team KPIs.
- ** Project and Budget Management**: Lead and manage capital expenditure projects, control expenses within budget, and identify productivity opportunities.
- ** Safety and Compliance**: Own the machinery safety agenda, ensure compliance with government and statutory requirements, and promote health, safety, and welfare.
- ** Collaboration and Support**: Maintain positive working relationships with all functions, provide technical support, and lead the RECON Team for resource conservation.
- ** Leadership and Development**: Manage support staff and trades employees, and actively contribute to the development of safe plant, equipment, and work practices.
Qualifications:
**About you**:
- ** Extensive Experience**: Over 10 years in engineering leadership roles, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- ** Educational and Technical Expertise**: Engineering degree (preferably electrical or mechanical) and knowledge of modern maintenance and safety management principles.
- ** Analytical and Planning Skills**: Strong analytical, interpersonal, and planning skills, with the ability to set and achieve targets/KPIs.
- ** Leadership and Team Building**: Proven leadership, change management, and team-building skills.
- ** Technical Proficiency**: Proficiency in PC skills, preferably with SAP PM, and experience with high-speed packaging equipment.
