The role you could play
As a Case Manager you will provide case management support to women, families and children who have experienced and/ or are currently experiencing family violence. The role also encompasses the delivery of assessment and crisis response. The role will be in instrumental in delivering high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery.
The Family Violence Services works with service users from a feminist perspective, aiming to empower and increase the safety of women and children.
This will include:
- Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
- Provide case management support to clients in accordance with The Salvation Army (TSA) case management models and standards of practice
- Ongoing assessment is made of the client’s needs and circumstances from initial intake until they exit our support
- Develop individual case plans in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients
- Implement case plans with active client participation
- Assist clients to access support services, establish community supports and, where needed, assist through advocacy with external service providers
- Monitor and review progress and outcomes of individual case plans to ensure the plan continues to meet the client’s needs or goals
This is a permanent full-time role Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in start times. You will be supporting women and women and children across Greater Sydney, with offices available in Surry Hills, Dulwich Hill and Campbelltown. This role has an on call allowance on a roster basis.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with Social, Community, Homecare and Disability Services Award Level 4.

What you will bring
- Diploma in Community Studies or equivalent, Masters/ Bachelor of Social Work desirable
- Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable
- Experience in specialist family violence and/ or child wellbeing work is highly desirable
- Demonstrated case management experience and skills
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision required
- Advance computer skills including experience in data and record management
- Trauma and Domestic Violence Informed
- Person Centred, Strength Based approach
- Pool cars are provided and a relevant driver’s licence is required
- Relevant state Working with Children Check is required
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
