**Your new company**

You will work for a well-known family-owned business specialising in public transport buses within Geelong and the Surf Coast.

**Your new role**

As Fleet Manager you will need to look after the good functioning of the fleet management for the 250 heavy vehicles available and make sure that the team of 25 maintenance staff are working closely together, some of the duties will include:

- Fleet costs are minimised whilst meeting the safety, contractual and legal requirements.
- Servicing schedules are monitored and reviewed on a regular basis.
- Fleet wide safety and improvement programs are developed and implemented.
- Making sure that the Fleet Management System is developed and maintained
- Facilities and equipment keep pace with technological changes in vehicles and maintenance.
- Looking after the team and making sure that they are well managed

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will need to show a real expertise within fleet management. Previous experience in this position is essential as my client needs someone that can run as soon as possible. Support will be provided along the way.

On top of that you will need to have great people management skills, strong written and verbal communication and a good sense of urgency. A background within mechanical trade is a big plus.

You will also need to provide a working with Children check up to date.
