**About the role**

As part of Optivia’s growth we are now seeking an Analyst Programmer to work with the Technical Director and progressively take over his responsibilities for customer technical support and gain experience in developing data solutions focusing on relevant toolsets

Someone in this role msust demonstrate a keen interest in solving problems and learning about new technologies relating to data analysis and analytics.

Reporting to: Technical Director

**Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Providing support for projects involving technology rollouts, software upgrades, or deployed data solutions, remotely or at client site
- Testing, identifying and diagnosing functionality errors and faults in systems, and logic/code within established guidelines to ensure systems perform to specification.
- Creating and reviewing technical documentation such as procedural, instructional and operational guides and manuals
- Developing solutions to meet client requirements, system specifications and technical specifications
- Actively contributing to the growth of the team through the provision of training, sharing of knowledge and participating in learning sessions.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT/Systems and/or equivalent
- 1-4 years of work experience in a technical or data-centric role
- Experience using Lavastorm and Data360 Analyze
- Experience in SQL and Python (knowledge of Java considered favourably)
- Experience trouble-shooting enterprise software or IT solutions
- Experience using data visualisation tools and supporting ‘managed service’ solutions considered favourably
- Technical knowledge of data solutions involving data extraction, transformation and analysis
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows platforms
- Familiarity with cloud-based IAAS and/or PAAS on Azure or AWS
- Understanding of IT system networking and security principles.

- Able to work autonomously and effectively manage time according to company and customer priorities.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
