We are currently seeking a motivated Legal Clerk / Legal Administrator (depending on skill set) to join our APAC Legal team based in our global headquarters in Fortitude Valley. We are ideally seeking a current law student or a seasoned law clerk with administrative experience and experience in contract review who can take on a part-time role for 3 days per week.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Legal Clerk / Legal Administrator (depending on skill set) to join our APAC Legal team based in our global headquarters in Fortitude Valley. We are ideally seeking a current law student or a seasoned law clerk with administrative experience and experience in contract review who can take on a part-time role for 3 days per week.

Day to day tasks would involve:
- Provide legal clerk support primarily through completion of initial contract review, against existing company mandate, to mitigate any potential legal risk to Cardno.- Undertake legal research for the APAC Legal team as directed.- Support the Head of Legal with project work.- Review and coordinate Director’s and/or Company Secretary signatures on tender documents, contracts, leases, and any other documents as required.- Administration of the legal team’s systems and processes.- Assist with preparation of reports generated from APAC Legal team’s online portals.- Process invoices.- Other ad-hoc administrative and legal tasks.

To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Be extremely well organised and be someone who is comfortable with taking ownership of all tasks while managing deadlines that constantly change.- Have strong drafting skills and attention to detail when reviewing and assisting with legal documents.- Have strong communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude.- Enjoy working in a close team environment, having a warm and friendly approach.- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite particularly MS Excel and MS Word.- Prior law firm, in-house or legal experience will be highly regarded.
