**Bring your curiosity and determination to make a positive impact on the future of transport, and we’ll help you go all the way.** **Who are we looking for?** We're looking for Bridge Inspectors (Timber Bridges) to work with our client Main Roads WA on a 6 month fixed term contract based in Perth. **Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**: - Assist in the Undertaking of Bridge Inspections including visual inspection, timber drilling, measurements and reporting in accordance with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) policy and procedures. This will involve travel to other regional areas of WA, usually returning to base every weekend. In addition, selected inspections may be required to be undertaken at night or on weekends - Identify defects on Timber Bridges and assemble Inventory and Condition information in accordance with the bridge inspection requirements - Maintain daily records for activities associated with the bridge inspection activities - Assist in the Implementation and maintenance of appropriate safety management systems in accordance with Occupational Safety & Health Acts and Regulations, other relevant statutory regulations, policies, standards and procedures - Assist in the Implementation and maintain traffic management on the site - Maintain bridge inspection equipment in good working order **What you will bring to the team**: - Minimum 3 years relevant experience with a engineering or trade background - Willingness to learn Asset Inspection Techniques and reporting requirements - Willingness to contribute to the ongoing development of inspection process - High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative - Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment and shows good interpersonal skills - Good level of written, verbal and numeracy skills **Must have Possession of**: - Western Australian drivers licence - Construction white card **Will be required to obtain the following**: - Western Australian Heavy Rigid Truck licence **Training will be provided for the following**: - Senior First Aid Certification - High Risk Certification EWP (>11m) - Defensive Driving & 4x4 driving course - Working at Heights - Basic Worksite Traffic Management - Skippers boat licence Contact Jo Spillane Ph +61 6222 8844 GHD has been appointed by Main Roads Western Australia to deliver a state-wide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract.
