**A role within our Early Careers Program at Yooralla offers**:

- **A developed learning program for core level clinicians exploring Positive Behaviour Support** - including structured and frequent 1:1 supervision, peer group supervision, Community of Practice sessions focusing on Behaviour Support and a peer support program with other early career allied health professionals to develop your knowledge of the disability sector. With lowered billable targets, this will give you the chance to focus on your learning as you are doing the job.
- **Support with your competencies and practice requirements for registration as a Core PBS Practitioner with the NDIS** and ongoing development of your learning and skills to move through the PBS practitioner capability levels.
- **Excellent formal and informal professional development opportunities** - including opportunities to develop clinical, administration and management/leadership skills, a generous professional development allowance and paid study leave.

**About the role**
Yooralla has vacancies in Melbourne’s North and West region for a passionate, positive relationship builder, with experience working with a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model to join our team as a permanent, full-time, Behaviour Support Practitioners. This fulfilling role will provide best practice, evidence-based specialist behaviour support services to children and adults with disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
Your working days will be varied and may involve:
- delivering specialist behaviours support in people's homes, educational settings or in the community; aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and their support networks
- Conducting specific assessments and intervention services aimed at improving the quality of life and thereby reducing behaviours of concern for people with disabilities
- working as part of an interdisciplinary team of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
**About You**
You will have qualifications in allied health or undergraduate psychology and are seeking a career in the disability sector working in positive behaviour support. You may also have other work and/or lived experience in working with and supporting people with disabilities. You will have good interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop skills in engaging people with disabilities, motivate them and build their capability. You will be working in partnership with people with disabilities to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person’s supports, including their families.
To be successful in this role you’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:
- Completion of an allied health or psychology graduate degree or Masters of Disability
- Have some experience in supporting people with a disability
