**Position Summary**

Genie is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industry. We are offering a Nationally accredited trade **Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology** based at our **Darra** branch. Throughout the 4-year program you will receive first class training in our state-of-the-art facility, working with some of the most innovative and advanced equipment in the world. **Position Qualification**
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career with Genie
- A willingness to commit to a structured, classroom based, workshop and in field training program
- An aptitude for mechanical and electrical work
- Enjoy problem solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and a safety-first approach to workplace health and safety and zero harm
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to take direction
- Driver’s license
- Physically fit for the role plus the ability to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening

**Responsibilities**
- Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture - use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and work areas are hazard free
- Carry out inspection, repairs and rebuilding of Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) equipment to Genie standards
- Maintain up-to-date service records for all service and repair work, completing required paperwork accurately
- Liaise with workshop management regarding machine status
- Monitor, upkeep and report any concerns relating to equipment, property, team members and utilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
