**Your new company**
This local council has a temporary vacancy for a Team Leader of the Youth Services, where you will provide leadership to the team whilst a permanent recruitment process is undertaken to fill the role. you could be eligible for the permanent position too.

This government organisation requires an individual with qualifications and experience in youth work and working with young people. As the Team Leader, this position provides supportive day to day leadership, supervision and direction for the Youth Services team to promote a positive culture.

**Your new role**
This role plans and oversees the delivery of a suite of Youth Services programs that are evidence based and delivered through robust planning and evaluation.
The Team Leader must be confident in engaging with and working in consultation with young people and their families, and able to identify and refer individuals to other services and supports. The role requires experience with child safe standards, and familiarity with legislative and reporting requirements associated with the role and funding programs.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Teaching or Community Services and relevant experience in programs and services for young people aged 12-25 years.
- Current level 2 First Aid
- Demonstrate effective leadership in order to appropriately lead, coach, manage and develop the team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of programs for young people.
- Victorian Driver's License
- Working with Children's Check.

**What you'll get in return**
- Full-time position, however part-time arrangements will also be considered.
- Immediate - Position vacant from 11 April.
- Salary - $43 to $45 per hour +super
