Entry Mobile Repair Technician

**TrinityRail Maintenance Services** is hiring an **Entry Mobile Repair Technician** at our **Gaston, SC** plant.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Conduct railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.
- Perform repairs as necessary while always using current repair procedures.
- Meet the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Ensure all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete.
- Have the ability to pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrates strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
- Actively participate in safety assessments, equipment inspections.
- Able to perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- **Able to travel anytime. May require 25% overnight travel.**
- Ability to learn basic railcar knowledge.
- Ability to obtain the following within 6 - 12 months (timeline and required test depend on specific location): Welding and Airbrake Test certifications.
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of how to read Engineering drawings
- Ability to pass DOT Requirements is a plus

Understand and perform all work outlined under Supervision

**What You’ll Need**:

- Any type of welding/mechanical experience or railcar knowledge is a preferred.
