About the Role
- Ensure effective communication with other members of the multidisciplinary team involved in patient care, and with local medical officers and community agencies. Under the consultant's direction, ensure that a patient's general practitioner is promptly and comprehensively advised of the patient's management and condition.
- Examine, arrange and review appropriate investigations for patients on Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- Initiate treatment and action plans including a patient discharge plan under the guidance of more senior medical staff.
- Liaise directly with more senior medical staff on clinical units to ensure effective communication including information about changes in each patient's condition.
